At the elections on 1 st May 2025 only three councillors put themselves forward for

You are registered as a local government elector for the Parish of Eaton Under

tenant land or other premises in the parish, or
Your main occupation has been in the Parish for the last 12 months, or
You have resided in the Parish or within three miles of its boundaries for at least

and are not disqualified from holding office by reason of any disqualification set out
in the Local Government Act 1972, which include bankruptcy, county court orders,
non-payment of council taxes, being found guilty of corrupt or illegal practices in

For the Parish Council’s information. I attach notice of the Temporary Closure Order for Public Bridleway 0527/27A/1 in your Parish. Link to Council Map

This section of highway was initially closed via an emergency temporary closure on the 24.03.25. This was due to storm damaged trees obstructing, and being hung up over, this highway. Emergency temporary closures only last for 21 days. Due to the time that it has taken for me to obtain contact details for the relevant landowner and the volume and nature of the work that needs to be completed, we were unable to reopen this highway when this emergency temporary closure terminated yesterday (14.04.25).

The follow on Temporary Closure Order comes into force today and lasts for a period of six months, or until the necessary works have been completed to ensue that the public can safely pass & repass along this highway.

Notice of this Temporary Closure Order has also been sent to Munslow Parish Council and Cllr Cecilia Motley. This closure is communicated to the public via on-site notices (to be erected this afternoon), information on the Shropshire Council website and an advert in today’s edition of the Shropshire Star.

If the Parish Council have any questions about this Temporary Closure Order, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
